Job Description:
Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and uphold our reputation for outstanding cuisine. The Head Chef will oversee all aspects of the kitchen, from menu development and food preparation to staff management and quality control.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update seasonal menus that showcase creativity and innovation while adhering to our culinary concept and standards.
- Manage and train kitchen staff, ensuring a high level of performance, consistency, and teamwork.
- Maintain food quality, presentation, and taste, consistently exceeding guest expectations.
- Oversee food ordering, inventory management, and cost control to meet budgetary goals.
- Implement and enforce food safety and sanitation standards, following local regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborate with management to develop new dishes and promotions that enhance the restaurant's reputation.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive work environment, promoting open communication and professional development within the team.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring equipment is well-maintained and safe to use.
- Manage and resolve any kitchen-related issues or challenges that may arise.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume, upscale restaurant.
- Culinary degree or equivalent culinary experience.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Creativity and passion for culinary arts.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
- Ability to adapt to changing menus and seasonal ingredients.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
